Another SOSOPWORLD Inc. “ASK THE EXPERTS PROGRAM”

As a leader in Senior Care, Sosopworld.com has asked the owner and founder of “Modern Angels Healthcare” to give “FREE” 24/7 help and support to our one million Canadian members?

You can call or chat with a registered nurse 24/7 online or speak with a nurse during business hours. Example: Ontario Canada 9 to 5 daily.
These professional nurses will be offering free advice and help to all seniors as to when they should see a doctor or go to the hospital and much, much, more.

They will also provide information on health services such as,

1) So, what is the most requested support service for seniors? Answer: “In-Home Care”. This service allows seniors to maintain their independence, safety and well being while staying in the comfort of their own home.
What is in-home care?

Definition: Health care and personal support provided in your home by professionals, to assist with daily activities or medical needs.
Goal: To allow individuals (especially seniors or those with disabilities) to live independently and comfortably in familiar surroundings.

2) Assisted Living – From staying independent or living in a senior housing option that caters to a wide range of needs. Assisted Living support services usually include bathing, dressing, meals to mention just a few of the benefits offered.

3) Caregiving – People don’t care who you are until they know you care. Showing a loved one you care is one of the greatest gifts you can give them. Over 80% of older adults are cared for by family and friends.

4) Community and social services – Rather than receiving needed support in a hospital or other institutional setting most seniors want to receive support from social services and their community in their home.

5) Crime prevention – Because many seniors (older adults) are vulnerable to becoming victims of crime, they need all the protection we can give them. Many seniors lose everything do to elder abuse, or scams and frauds.

6) Elder abuse – Is when a caregiver or a family member brings harm to an older person through their action or lack of action.

7) End of life care – It’s very hard to talk to an elderly person about how much time they have left here on earth or how they would like to be cared for after they pass away. Of course it’s very important to plan for the medical treatment or palliative care they want to receive.

8) Preventing falls or injury – It’s a fact that over 95% of falls are the leading cause of injury in seniors. The good news is, falls can be prevented.

9) Food safety – For seniors to enjoy proper nutrition and a healthy lifestyle, they need to have access to the right kind of foods available in their community and be confidant it’s safe for them to eat.

10) Institutional care – Frailty in older adults is usually associated with losses in their physical, mental or social functioning in areas such as walking, muscle and weight loss and memory decline.

11) Housing – Everyone needs housing options that are affordable and safe and this applies to seniors in a big way.

12) Social connections – Loneliness and isolation can have an impact on the mental health of older adults. In areas such as death, loss of driver’s license and retirement can have a major effect on most seniors.
